Chichen Itza and the Flower of Life

Chichen Itza was a large pre-Columbian city built by the Maya people of the Terminal Classic period. The archaeological site is located in Tinúm Municipality, Yucatán State, Mexico. Read more.

The Flower of Life is a geometrical figure composed of multiple evenly-spaced, overlapping equal circles, that are arranged so that they form a sixfold symmetry like a hexagon. The center of each circle is on the circumference of six surrounding circles of the same diameter.

The Flower of Life geometrical symbol is over six thousand years old.
