Il Trovatore (1853)
Il trovatore (The Troubadour) is an opera in four acts (1: The Duel 2: The Gypsy Woman 3: The Son of the Gypsy Woman 4: The Punishment) by Giuseppe Verdi to an Italian libretto by Leone Emanuele Bardare and Salvadore Cammarano, based on the play El Trovador by Antonio García Gutiérrez. Verdi (1813 - 1901) was an Italian Romantic composer, mainly of opera. He was one of the most influential composers of the 19th century. Giuseppe Sinopoli
Giuseppe Sinopoli (1946 - 2001) was an Italian conductor and composer. On 20 April 2001, Sinopoli died of a heart attack while conducting Giuseppe Verdi's Aida at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin. Sinopoli was considered one of Europe's finest opera conductors.
