Komatsu Autonomous Haulage System (AHS)
Komatsu introduced the world’s first Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) to CODELCOs Gabriela Mistral (Gaby) copper mine in Chile in January 2008.

AHS is an integrated system to operate super-large driverless dump trucks autonomously by taking advantage of information and communication technologies (ICT) such as the high-precision global positioning system (GPS), obstacle detection sensors, a wireless communication network system and a fleet management system. Komatsu 930E
The Komatsu 930E is an off-highway, ultra class, rigid frame, two-axle, diesel/AC electric powertrain haul truck designed and manufactured by Komatsu America Corp. in Peoria, Illinois, United States. Although the 930E is neither Komatsu's largest nor highest payload capacity haul truck, Komatsu considers the 930E to be the flagship of their haul truck product line. Minera Gaby, CODELCO
The Gaby deposit is located 200 ofagasta port. This open-pit mine started up in May 2008, producing its first batch of electro-refined cathodes. The project required $1.0 billion to build and it was implemented as scheduled. Its output capacity is 150,000 tonnes of fine copper per year for high-purity cathodes. In 2008, the mine produced 67,700 tonnes of copper at a cash cost of $1.12 per pound. Proven and probable reserves at December 31, 2008, were 0.571 billion tonnes of 0.4% copper. Source: Codelco.
