Desiderata (Latin for "desired things", plural of desideratum) is an inspirational prose poem about attaining happiness in life. It was first copyrighted in 1927 by Max Ehrmann.
Max Ehrmann (1872 - 1945), an attorney from Indiana, was best known for writing the declamation "Desiderata".
Ying Ruocheng (1929 - 2003), Manchu people, was a Chinese actor, director, playwright and Vice Minister of Culture from 1986 to 1990. He is best known for playing the part of the governor of the detention camp in The Last Emperor.
